Black Ops 2: GameStop Token for MW3

Recently we have received a high volume of emails, asking why isn’t the GameStop code I received for pre-ordering Black Ops 2 giving me the Prestige Token for MW3? We contacted Activision and they sent us here: Activision Support

Here are the steps for acquiring and redeeming your Prestige Token when you pre-order Black Ops 2 from GameStop:
1.  Purchase Black Ops 2 from GameStop
2.  After you make your purchase, you will receive the code from GameStop
3.  You will then be directed to callofduty.com/prestigetoken to redeem your code
4.  If you are not logged in to callofduty.com or elite, you will be prompted to login or create an account
  • If you already have a callofduty.com, elite, or other Activision.com account, such as for Cabela’s, Transformers, or support.activision.com, you can use that account to login.5.  After you are logged in, enter the code provided by GameStop6.  You should see a success screenIf you receive an error message, please see below:
    1. The code you entered is not valid. Please try again.
      • If you type in your code incorrectly 3 times in 30 minutes, you will get locked out. Try again in a couple hours.
      • You may have typed in the code wrong. Try typing in the code again. Accidentally mistyping the key code numbers and letters is responsible for most key code problems. What may look like an I (i) could really be an l (L) or a 1 (one).
      • If you are still having issues, please chat with a customer service representative
    2. You’ve already redeemed a code for this account.
      • You can only redeem one pre-order code per account. Check in the Prestige Shop to see if your Prestige Token is now available.
    3. This code has already been redeemed.  Please wait 24 hours and verify the token appears in the Prestige Shop. If 24 hours has already passed, please contact Customer Support.
      • If you have both and Xbox Live account and a PlayStation Network account, you may want to check both accounts to see if the Prestige Token is in the Prestige Shop. The token will automatically be applied to whichever Xbox Live or PSN account you originally linked to your callofduty.com account.
    4. There was a system error while setting your entitlement.  Please contact Customer Support.
      • Please chat online with customer support. You can find the chat link on the MW3 landing page.

Black Ops 2 zombies mode promising eight players, team play modes and “bigger worlds”

Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia has hinted at the future of Black Ops 2 zombies and what it will be like…

“Our zombies fans want more zombies,” he revealed somewhat unsurprisingly. Hang on though, he’s going somewhere with this. “They literally want more zombies and they want more ways to play” (see). That means Black Ops 2 will be expanding on what the previous games have done before with the undead.

“They want bigger maps” says Lamia. “They want even more interesting things to do inside these levels. So we are crafting new worlds, creating new game modes and bigger worlds.” Much of what this new zombies will bring is partly due to an undead tech upgrade. “We’ve actually put [zombies] inside of our multiplayer engine and it’s capable of doing twice as many zombies, twice as many co-op players.”

Eight player zombies is more than just a bigger set up, it’s changing the entire game. “There are actually new modes,” says Lamia. “There’s classic mode that you guys are used to but there are going to be new modes. [Twice as many co-op players] introduces some interesting new gameplay modes. Perhaps you can think of some team game modes where there might be fun to be had?”

It all sounds like zombies is getting an upgrade from COD accompaniment to full blown main feature. Lamia finishes by saying, “There’s a lot there. It’s its own game mode. There’s a totally new creative fiction. We’re going for it this time on zombies.”

The first zombies image was teased at GameStop shortly after Black Ops 2 was revealed. With a pre-ordered copy of the game, customers were given a double sided poster. The red side depicting a girl holding a shotgun is rumored to be “Samantha.” Supposedly she’ll be playing a big role in the new Zombies Mode/campaign.

Black Ops 2: Prototype Quadrotor with Machine Gun!

The next Call of Duty will be set in the future according to this new video from FPSRussia. Going to CallOfDuty.com and clicking on a previously blurred image now takes you to FPSRussia’s Youtube page where he plays with a prototype machine gun-carrying UAV.

Kyle Myers (his real name, and he’s American, sorry) then goes on to ‘fly’ the drone around shooting various targets. Crucially he mentions it won’t be around for 10-15 years, says the future looks like it’s going to be fun and then finished with, “I hear this is going to be in the next Call Of Duty game”. So, BLACK OPS 2 is 10-15 years in the future.

Black Ops 2 pre-orders higher than Black Ops, Modern Warfare 3

Just 36 hours after Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was officially announced; Amazon announced that pre-orders for the game are three times as high as the original Black Ops in 2010, according to MCV.

“Set to be one of the biggest games of the year, it’s great to see so much enthusiasm and anticipation for Call of Duty: Black Ops II,” Amazon UK’s video games manager Graham Chambers said.

“Bolder and better than before and with everything from a futuristic storyline through to single player mode, Zombies and multiplayer, Black Ops II promises something Call of Duty fans have never seen before.’’
